Synopsis
Marie returns to Israel after years of absence to marry her Ashkenazi fiancé. Walked down the aisle by both her Moroccan Sephardi "mothers"—the fertile mother who birthed her and her birth mother’s barren sister, the mother who raised her—Marie grapples with unresolved feelings as she prepares for the Seven Blessings tradition, a week of festive meals in honor of the bride. Nominated for 10 Ophir Awards and winner of the “Israeli Oscars” for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Script, and Best Actress.
