Synopsis
A thought-provoking exploration of resilience, heritage, and identity that unravels the hidden histories and untold stories of diverse Jewish communities in Mexico and America through family secrets passed down through generations. Some of these descendants of Crypto-Jews (conversos) draw inspiration from the remarkable life of Luis de Carvajal the Younger, a historical figure whose tragic fate in 16th-century Inquisitorial Mexico symbolizes the profound struggles of those who dared to challenge societal norms and Catholic religious authorities.
